About Skibi Kids stores

Skibi Kids are children's stores and e-shop http://www.skibi.com/ for little heroes of rainy and sunny days. For kids who love to play, love to move and love sports.

At Skibi Kids, we believe that children who spend time being active are happier and that movement benefits their healthy development and psyche. The mascot of the stores is the Skibi bear, who takes care of children in the same way as a mother takes care of her children. He makes sure that the children are nice and warm during all activities and feel happy, safe and develop successfully.

Skibi Kids stores offer several ranges of products for children:

• Skibi Wear - children's clothing and footwear,
• Skibi Sport - children's sports equipment,
• Skibi Play - children's toys,
• Skibi Home - accessories for children's rooms,
• Skibi School - school/kindergarten stuff,
• Skibi Care - safe beauty products for children.

At the moment Skibi Kids has a total of six retail outlets, four in Prague, one in Brno and one in Pilsen.

The Skibi Kids concept is ready to expand to other (mainly regional) cities in the Czech and Slovak Republic in the form of franchises.

Skibi Kids includes a modern eshop, which is still under development and whose advantages are shared by all Skibi Kids branches.

The opening of the shop takes about 8 - 10 months from the conclusion of the franchise agreement. Suitable months for opening a store are always August (start of autumn/winter collections) and February (start of spring/summer collections). This means concluding the contract November/December for opening with the autumn/winter season and June/July for opening with the spring/summer season.

SUPPORT FOR FRANCHISEES

Skibi Kids franchising provides comprehensive support to franchisees:

1. Before opening a Skibi Kids branch

• assistance in selecting a suitable location, including lease negotiations
• the entire store design with an architect
• training you and your staff (including in-store practice, e-shop dispatch)
• we will guide you through the creation of the pre-orders necessary before the store opening (6 months in advance)
• we will give you the necessary know-how to start and run the branch

2. After the opening of the Skibi Kids branch

• the complete know-how needed to start and run the store
• an established and strong brand with more than a decade of history
• a tailor-made sales, stock, ordering and CRM system
• e-shop management www.skibi.com with a focus on the whole Czech Republic and SK
• initial and ongoing training of employees and franchisee
• marketing and PR support
• supply and logistics
• ongoing monitoring and suggestions for operational improvements
• in-store events
• continuous development of the concept, acquisition of new trendy brands
• better trading conditions with suppliers of products and services

INITIAL INVESTMENT REQUIRED

When starting up the business, investments in complete equipment and furnishings, including the first seasonal pre-order of products (spring/summer or autumn/winter season), as well as investment in a Skibi Kids franchise licence, must be taken into account.

The total initial investment in joining the franchise, building and equipping the store is approximately CZK 2 to 3 million. Depending on the size and location of the store.

In addition, the candidate must initially budget for the acquisition and maintenance of stock, depending on the size and location of the store, in the amount of approximately CZK 2,5 to 3,5 million. The franchisee should have at least 40% of its own funds.

During the course of the cooperation, each franchisee pays fees (marketing support, e-shop management, stock management, CRM system, etc.) depending on the sales volume. Skibi Kids franchising is conceived on a long-term basis and the franchise license is therefore granted for a period of 5 to 10 years.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Suitable candidate

The ideal franchisee is a person who has a business acumen and a positive attitude towards children and sports. However, the minimum requirement is a taste for business. The Skibi Kids franchise is primarily for those who want to have a direct presence in the store.

Location

• Ideal locations for opening a Skibi Kids store are county and regional towns, or cities with a population of over 100,000, or mountain recreation centers with a large number of families with children.
• Within the city, locations on busy streets, busy public transport stops, squares or in shopping areas and centres are suitable.
• Premises with a minimum sales area of 70-100 m2 and additional space for staff and storage of products are suitable. We can help you choose a suitable space and location.
