Prague Peripheral Guide - Tomáš Staněk

Original illustrated guide to unconventional places in the capital city. From residential neighborhoods to the industrial outskirts, and from natural monuments back to the very historical center. This book will take you on walks and excursions to places you've probably never been, perhaps never even knew existed. Beyond the peripheral areas, often lying fallow and wildly overgrown, the author will also guide you through the inner periphery, i.e., places that are almost under our noses but which we overlook on our regular routine walks. Product description

Original illustrated guide to unconventional places in the capital city. From residential neighborhoods to the industrial outskirts, and from natural monuments back to the very historical center. This book will take you on walks and excursions to places you've probably never been, perhaps never even knew existed. Besides the outskirts, often left fallow and wildly overgrown, the author will also guide you through the inner periphery, i.e., places that are almost under our noses but which we overlook on our regular routine walks. 496 square kilometers can transform into a magical garden where new treasures await behind every fence, bush, or ruined wall… Afterword by Radan Haluzík and Epos 257.

Tomáš Staněk
