Sustainability in Skibi
Sustainability is not just an empty word for us. It is one of our core values. So for years we have been actively trying to reduce our ecological footprint. We started with small steps, from replacing conventional plastic tape with paper tape, switching from paper to electronic documents or sending parcels in reused packaging, to recycling hundreds of kilos of cardboard or planting trees. We're also interested in how our suppliers treat the environment and whether they feel the same way. And what makes us the happiest is that you, our customers, are also reflecting on this issue.
Reused and recycled packaging
If we can, we don't hesitate to use an already used box for internal logistics. At first glance, it may not be as glamorous, but it will still serve its purpose and the world will be one box lighter.
End of plastic strips and fillers
Years ago, we absolutely eliminated all plastic from our packages that come to you. From the easily recyclable paper tape to the paper filler of your orders. It may seem like a minor detail, but when you ship hundreds of packages a day, it eliminates dozens of pounds of unnecessary plastic.
Recycling hundreds of kilos of cardboard
The accumulated boxes from our suppliers, which we are no longer able to use in any way, are fairly pressed in our "Green Beast" and passed on for the most environmentally friendly recycling.
We support the organization Planting Trees
Once a year we take shovels and picks and go together to plant trees and shrubs. We cement our team and give a piece of ourselves to nature. The organization Planting Trees is purely non-profit, so we also support it financially. We thank the authors of this project for really putting their heart into it.
We are certified
"Sustainable e-shop"
In 2022, we were awarded the certified "Sustainable e-shop" label, which brings together shops that are not indifferent to environmental and social problems in the world. The certification authority assesses the applicant's conscious approach based on sustainable operations, how ethical it is towards employees and customers, and how environmentally friendly it is. We are proud to have received this label.
